Course description:
This course is for students who have entered a B2 level or equivalent and those who have studied for 3 years or more. The course takes the format of a topical debate around current affairs. Each week the students will choose the 3/4 topics to discuss in the next class and this will be done in the form of a question. The topics will not be limited to Spain and Latin America but will include international news and current events. For each topic there will be self study work in the relevant vocabulary and grammar structures.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Discuss opinions and ideas with increased fluency and confidence
- Communicate with a more precise range of vocabulary
- Transfer the fluency gained in other areas of the communication
- Express your ideas with increased correctness
- Have a deeper knowledge of the culture and politics of Spanish speaking countries
Initial and ongoing Assessment:
There is no formal assessment for the language courses at CimaLearning. However to monitor your learning and progress, tutors will assess your participation in classroom activities and homework on the four major skills and give you feedback during the course and at the end.
Equipment or materials:
All the variety of learning materials will be provided by the tutor.
