Course description: This course is for students who have completed both Level A1, or equivalent -about 60 hours of study-, and those who are confident in all areas covered in that level. You will expand your knowledge to a wider range of topics, learn how to express yourself more precisely, have more confidence speaking about events in the present and the past and give more details about your own experiences. By the end of this course you will be able to: · Talk about the frequency you do activities · Express obligation · Talk about events in the past · Discuss future plans · Talk about health issues · Order food and drinks · Talk about experiences |

Initial and ongoing Assessment: There is no formal assessment for the language courses. However to monitor your learning and progress, tutors will assess your participation in classroom activities and homework on the four major skills -listening, speaking, reading and writing-. There will be a short video individual assessment/tutorial over the term. |

Equipment or materials: Even though a variety of learning materials is used from textbooks to videos, you will be asked to buy a textbook which costs approximately £20: Nuevo Ele Actual A2 by Virgilio Borobio. Units 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Access to Internet and a laptop or tablet will be needed as well. |
